India's first small animal hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber installed at CGS veterinary Hospital, Gurgaon, Haryana, India.

Helping your veterinary patients heal faster & live longer.

Over the past decade, Veterinary Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (VHBOT) has provided veterinarians with another tool to significantly improve small animal medical care.

Routinely used worldwide in small animal clinics to treat swelling, trauma, non-healing wounds, infections, sepsis, pancreatitis, stroke & other serious ailments and have saved lives and benefited small animals in a wide variety of hard to heal clinical conditions.

VHBOT may reduce or eliminate the need for surgery, reduces length of hospital stay, saving time and cost of treatment for pet owners.

Proven physiological effects:

Reduces inflammation.

Immediate reduction in edema.

Enhances neovascularisation & angiogenesis.

Reduces ischemia to tissues through plasma bridge.

Cuts down infection by inhibiting the growth of anaerobic bacteria.

Increases the activity of fibroblast, osteoclast & osteoblast proliferation.

Increases the production of white blood cells production enhancing immunity.

Cuts down free radicals by improving the scavenging effect of super oxide dismutase.

The only non-pharmaceutical option for multiplying stem cells by several folds to form reparative cells.

Conditions which HBOT has shown a good success rate:

• Severe skin and tissue damage • Fracture healing • Major systemic or local infections • Intervertebral disc herniation • Inflammatory conditions such as pancreatitis • Nerve damage • Post-surgical swelling and recovery • Acute ischemic conditions • Infectious conditions such as severe wound infection * Infections (bone or fungal) * Neurological degeneration • Problem wound such as burns, ulcers, gangrene and necrosis • Skin grafts * Stimulating new bone cell activity * Intervertebral disc disease * Brain/nerve damage * Paralysis * Arthritis * Immune-mediated inflammatory diseases * Snake/insect bites * Sepsis * Arthritis * Anemia.

Proven, safe, non-invasive & a life saving tool.

India. Veterinary Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy (VHBOT) Chamber for Canine, Feline, Avian & Exotic Species.

The use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy as an exciting adjunctive therapy has provided veterinarians with another option to significantly improve small animal medical care, and has been used in the treatment of multiple conditions well over the past decade.

Treatment in the hyperbaric oxygen chamber increases pressure around the patient and causes the body to dissolve more oxygen into the blood, plasma and other body fluids and not by red blood cells alone. Higher amount of oxygen reaches the tissues where the blood supply is compromised, thus, improving and speeding up the healing process.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy or “HBOT” is most often used as an “adjunctive treatment.”  This means that is employed in conjunction with other forms of pet health care and is a part of the total medical treatment package or care regime.

HBOT utilizes oxygen, provided at optimal levels can have profound anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, can augment effects of antibiotics and thus tissue healing benefits. It can accelerate healing dramatically and assist in conditions where there is an oxygen deficit.

According to publicly available medical literature, hyperbaric oxygen therapy results in reduction in swelling, stimulation of new blood vessel formation into the healing/swollen tissue, a reduction in pressure caused by head or spinal cord injuries, reduction in ischemia, improved would healing, improved infection control, mobilization of stem cells.

Hyperbaric Veterinary Medicine is advancing quickly, and is delivering commendable results in small animals. The success of hyperbaric oxygen therapy in the veterinary medicine has led to the development of a specific governing body in early 2000, The Veterinary Hyperbaric Medicine Society (VHMS).

According to the Veterinary Hyperbaric Medicine Society (VHMS), USA position statement, the use of HBOT has the potential to accelerate the normal healing process and thus the potential to enhance the health and welfare of animals.

Over the past decade, Veterinary Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (VHBOT) is being routinely used in veterinary medicine to treat swelling, trauma, non-healing wounds, infections, sepsis, pancreatitis, stroke & other serious ailments.

Small animal clinics world wide have performed over millions of procedures on various conditions, have saved lives and benefited small animals in a wide variety of hard to heal clinical conditions. In Japan and in other orient nations, hyperbaric oxygen therapy is used on small animal for wellness treatments.

Veterinary HBOT is still largely an under utilized modality in veterinary medicine in many parts of the globe including India.

Veterinary Hyperbaric oxygen therapy often called VHBOT can be of great help to veterinary patients by speeding up the healing process and may reduce or eliminate the need for more invasive procedures such as surgery, oftentimes resulting in a net savings of time and cost of treatment for pet owners.
